The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouts.Open only to girls in high school, this prestigious award challenges girls to change the world—or at least her corner of it. It is a seven step process: identifying an issue, investigating it thoroughly, getting help and building a team, creating a plan, presenting that plan to the Girl Scout Board, taking action, and educating and inspiring. Girl Scout Gold Award recipients do well in life! They rate their general success significantly higher than their peers and report greater success in reaching their goals in many areas. The award is a very tedious award to gain, however it not only benefits the world, but also the girls who completes it, making it a worth while experience.
