What you can do to add this

program to your community...

STEPS TO FOLLOW

  • Create a four-week self-defense course (see the example in the 4-week course outline tab)

 

  • Partner with and get approval from a club at school or in the community that would benefit from this program and get approval 

 

  • Find a Krav Maga or self-defense instructor that would be willing to come and teach basic self-defense 

 

  • Contact a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) to give a presentation on the evidence collection process and what is needed if you or someone you know is sexually assaulted 

 

  • Secure a location with plenty of room to move around for the self-defense portion, and another room with a projector and seats for a presentation when the SANE comes

​

  • Establish the dates for the event and get approval 

​

  • Create a participation waiver (may be needed) and get approval

 

  • Advertise the event in the school and/or community
